Biography

Eva & the Heartmaker is a Norwegian pop duo consisting of Eva Weel Skram and Thomas Stenersen.

Formed in 2005, the band has so far released three studio albums and is currently working on their fourth, due for release in 2012.

They were voted Best Norwegian Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2011 and in January 2011 The New York Post raved about them:

“All those little music lame-os better move outta the shadows of the volcano that is Eva & the Heartmaker because this mother is about to blow. Lately, with the success of their bouncy single “Mr. Tokyo” and their newly released monster jam “Signals”, the world is about to get a major parade of Eva & the Heartmaker, prime for fistfuls of funfetti”.

Critically acclaimed third album “Dominoes” was released in February 2011, among others it received 5/6 stars in Norway’s biggest newspapers Aftenposten and VG.

Five singles have been released and playlisted from the album; “Mr. Tokyo”, “Signals”, “Gone In A Flash”, title track “Dominoes” and a remixed version of “Not Alone” by Italian house DJ Riccardo Piparo. To date Eva & the Heartmaker has had 8 singles on Norwegian radio, many of which have been A-listed.

In addition they have received a great deal of radio support abroad, making the Top 20 in Denmark as well as the Top 40 in Italy and Finland.

Over the past six years Eva & the Heartmaker has spent a lot of time on the road playing live, in Norway as well as other countries. Their set is an exciting and memorable concert experience, gathering ecstatic reviews and a fast growing fan base along the way. In June 2011 Swedish pop giants Roxette named Eva & the Heartmaker as their favourite support band ever after they opened for them in Bergen, Norway.
